Player Development

Our player development programme offers high-quality training for players with prior knowledge and experience of the game who wish to improve their skills and game awareness.

The programme, designed by UEFA and England FA qualified coaches in Advanced Talent Identification and Development, is aimed at both boys and girls from the age of 10. The comprehensive training plan covers both the technical and tactical aspects of the game, with the goal of developing more confident and versatile football players who have a solid foundation to reach their full potential. It encourages creativity and the holistic development of the player, while also providing them with the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning.

We want players to get the most out of our development programme, and we recommend that participants are:

  • Enthusiastic and enjoy playing football.
  • Eager to learn new skills or build on their existing abilities.

Within each age group, we strive to organise teams based on player ability wherever possible. The goal is to place each player at an appropriate level in a balanced team with a small number of players.

Children (10–12 years), Youth (13+)
For players with advanced level of football who want to take their game further. While we place inclusion and participation at the core of everything we do, we also provide a pathway for those who wish to take their football more seriously. Depending on age, players should have primary and secondary positions, and playing time will be distributed equally or for at least half of each match during the season.  Players will receive bi-monthly individual development plans (IDP) plus quarter personal meetings to discuss their progress.

  • By invitation/tryouts only.
  • 2-4 training sessions per week (depending on age).
  • Fixture programme against other similar advanced teams, as well as tournaments and additional matches.

At KBK we recognise that every player’s journey is unique. We provide a positive environment where young athletes are supported and empowered to grow at their own pace.
Guided by our Model – which addresses the technical, tactical, cognitive, physical, psychological, and social aspects of the game – our goal is to deliver the right experiences at the right time to help each player reach their full footballing potential.

To dominate the game, players need strong technical foundations. At KBK, we equip players with an explosive, refined, and versatile skill set. We develop this through creative skill combinations, efficient footwork patterns, and advanced exercises in passing, receiving, and striking the ball.

While technical excellence is essential at the highest level, mastering football’s fundamentals is only the starting point. Duels require an understanding of when and where to use your technical toolbox to escape pressure effectively. Our wide range of exercises challenges players to find creative solutions, enabling them to dominate their duels with control and unpredictability.

his is where decision-making and game awareness separate the good from the unstoppable. It is here that the connection between individual brilliance and collective effort is formed. Through a combination of possession practices, tactical games, and both attacking and defensive transitions, players develop a deeper understanding of the game’s nuances. Our game-related practices give players the ability to outsmart opponents while strengthening their capacity to perform under pressure.

Small-sided games play a crucial role in youth development by enhancing technical ability and tactical understanding. With fewer players on a smaller pitch, each player’s touches on the ball and decision-making opportunities increase. The intense end-to-end nature of small-sided games reflects the importance of quick transitions. Attackers can focus on creating scoring opportunities for themselves and others, while defenders are challenged to win duels and regain possession.

Players will gain access to a dedicated online classroom, providing valuable resources such as videos, reviews, and matchday feedback. This digital platform helps players stay informed, prepared, and connected with their coaches and team goals.

In addition, we share regular information designed to support each player's overall health and wellbeing. This holistic approach focuses on four key pillars:

  • Move well
  • Eat well
  • Sleep well
  • Think well

Together, these elements help nurture not only better athletes, but healthier, more balanced individuals.

Our Player Development programme is much bigger than just getting players into professional clubs and academies. We look to create unforgettable experiences through fixtures and tournaments and look to develop and improve their overall game. We strive for excellence and no talented young player will ever be turned away for financial reasons.
